Shantel Anyango is a bright and resilient 10-year-old girl from Bulemia Village, Kenya. Born into a life of hardship, Shantel’s family faced immense struggles, including severe poverty and limited access to basic resources. Despite her parents’ tireless efforts, the family could barely provide enough food, let alone afford school fees for Shantel.

Her parents, who tried their best to offer love and care, struggled to meet the basic needs of their children, and often, Shantel had to forgo her education and go without meals. Her dreams of a better life seemed far out of reach until Africa Hope Outreach Child Care Ministries stepped in.

Shantel was welcomed into the Africa Hope Outreach Village, where she now experiences the warmth of a loving home. Surrounded by supportive housemothers and new friends who have become family, Shantel is thriving. She is currently enrolled in Grade 5 at the Africa Hope Outreach School and is excelling in her studies. She enjoys subjects like science and literature and dreams of becoming a teacher one day, inspired by the teachers who have shown her the value of education.

Every Sunday, Shantel attends church with her Africa Hope Outreach family, where she is learning more about God’s love and guidance. Her joy shines through as she actively participates in church activities and shares her faith with others.
